Treatments – Dermal Fillers, Botox and Skin Rejuvenation
offers a discrete non-surgical cosmetic procedure service with individualised
treatments to improve wrinkles and lines, contour the face, and brighten
the skin texture. Consultations are with Dr Anne Ward, consultant dermatologist,
who can guide you on your treatment choice.
Lines and Wrinkles (Botox, Azzalure, Bocouture)
Botox is a protein which is injected into muscles to make them relax.
This helps to smooth out wrinkles and lines, as the muscles can no longer
scrunch up the skin. Botox is mainly used to treat frown lines, crow’s
feet and forehead wrinkles. Lichfield Skincare also treats more specialised
areas with Botox – neck bands, dimpled cobblestone chins, the jawline
(Nefertiti neck lift) and the Décolletage. Botox can be given on
its own or in combination with a Dermal Filler, if the wrinkle is deep
and present at rest. Treatment needs to be repeated every 3 – 4
months, as otherwise the wrinkles return to their previous appearance.

Lichfield Skincare uses Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Dermal Fillers to plump out
deeper wrinkles and to restore volume to cheeks and lips by enhancing
Hyaluronic Acid, a naturally occurring substance in the skin. As the face
ages, fat pads in the cheeks slip downwards resulting in prominent nose
to mouth wrinkles (nasolabial folds) and jowls. Lines and shadows drag
the corners of the lips down (marionette, sad lines) giving an old and
tired appearance. A Dermal Filler can be injected directly in to the wrinkle,
softening the appearance of the line, or it can be injected more deeply
to add strength and structure to the skin and volume to the face and lips.
Treatment needs to be repeated every 9 – 12 months, and depends
on many factors, such as skin type, skin condition, lifestyle and age.

Older skin can look dull which open pores, fine crinkles, pigmentation
and even red scaling patches. Lichfield Skincare offers several treatments
to make the skin brighter and more youthful looking. These include prescription
strength creams, Mini-Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA) Peels, the Dermaroller
(micro-needling) and Photodynamic Therapy (PDT). Mini-Trichloroacetic
Acid (TCA) Peels are used to treat patches of flat, brown pigmentation
on the face and the back of the hands. Micro-needling is a natural way
to stimulate skin production of collagen by creating multiple small
channels in the skin which regenerate and repair to form new skin cells
and boost the blood supply to the skin.

is approved by NICE to treat sun damaged skin, which causes photo-ageing.
It can help to treat red, scaling patches, patchy pigmentation, and fine
lines and wrinkles. Treatment is very simple – a specialist cream
is applied to the face for 30 – 45 minutes then activated by a red
light (not laser). Sun damaged skin cells are selectively destroyed, leaving
the healthy tissue which regenerates to give fresher looking skin. It
can be used on the face and scalp.

during a Cosmetic Consultation?
At the first visit, the face and its muscles are fully examined, and possible
treatments are discussed, including the costs involved. Some people choose
to have treatment at the first visit, others prefer to think about the
options and to book a further appointment should they decide to proceed.
A few people will be advised that the treatments may not be suitable for
them and are pointed in the right direction!
Aftercare advice is provided, and the results are checked at 2 –
4 weeks, to ensure everything looks good.
There is a Consultation Fee of £75 which covers the cost of a full
examination and treatment recommendations. The Consultation Fee is redeemable
